New website and Thorn Queen excerpt

  • Jul. 4th, 2009 at 12:50 PM
Win
Okay, this'll be short, but here's the news: I revamped (no pun intended) my website! As usual, I'm a fan of very clean styles, without a lot of flashing stuff or movement. I think it's neater than the other, and for Eugenie fans: the Thorn Queen excerpt is live!

Okay, that's all I've got. Eight hours of mousing and typing has killed my hands, so it's time for a break. Happy Independence Day!

Love the new format, Richelle! Are you going to be overhauling the entire site to match?

The new style is a huge improvement, very clean and refreshing!

If I may make a small suggestion, from one web designer to another, is that you modify the "#navigation a" rule to include "border: 1px solid #912841;" so that when the menu options are moused over, the options to the right don't get pushed 2 pixels over.

Otherwise, great job!

Re: just curious
Are you referring to the Penguin VA website one?

Try here: http://www.penguin.com.au/vampireacademy/competition.cfm

Sorry if that's not what you're looking for

Wait, do you do all the HTML stuff by yourself? I wish I could do that.

Ohwow! Purdy :)
Hey Ms Mead,

by saying "Eight hours of mousing and typing has killed my hands" do you mean YOU coded your new website? If you did, oh SO COOL!! I didn't know you had HTML skills like that. It looks really PROF. ^-^

And while I somewhat agree with epicureanangel, I sort of like the borders at the navigation mouse-over... gives a nice homey feeling to it!! :)

may you and your novels live on for ever.

The international info
I was so happy to find out that you have your books published in Portuguese, I loved the covers of the Brazilian's versions of the Vampire Academy Series.
The only think is that now I want to have them. It is so difficult to buy book in any other language that English or Spanish. It would make me so happy to read your books in my first language!!!!
A while back I tried to buy the Harry Potter series in Portuguese and let tell you it is sooooo expensive, like the whole thing would cost me over $400.00!!!!
Does any one knows how to get them for less???? The Harry Potter and Richelle's books, I mean!

Thank youuuu
I liked the international covers much better than the U.S ones!!!!

Richelle, it makes very happy to see that a lot of people in my country loves you and your books!!! Sometimes living away from your friends and family is very difficult and having something that can connect us is a gift. Something that we can love together and talk about it.
Thank you

Help me ):

The new website looks great & Happy Independence Day. :D

I read somewhere (I can't remember where and I have been trying and trying to find it! Sorry) that there would be an After Party in Sydney, Australia, after a signing there and that you would be attending.
True or False?

I sware I read it on the Peguin VA website but I just can't find it now.

Re: Help me ):
There is going to be one on 9/18. I heard about it on the Penguin Australia VA mailing list...maybe you did too? If you still can't find it, the details of it'll go up on my site when I'm able to post the finalized tour info. It should be fun!
