French SB
I'm afraid there's little to report with my neighbors. Their house still remains quiet, and the letters are still taped up. Yesterday, while I was gardening, a car drove through the neighborhood like they were lost and eventually pulled into the KGB driveway. A young woman got out, peered around, and then drove off. May have been unrelated.

Oh, and Mr. HOA president put notes on everyone else's door stating that for true enforcement, we need to report times and dates of infractions. I kind of wished I'd been able to chat with him when he stopped by, but I won't answer the door in my robe.

Meanwhile, here's the latest in my world. Just got the cover for the French edition of Succubus Nights. There's always a little confusion over this, but Succubus Nights is what the UK publishers changed Succubus on Top to. So, this is Georgina #2. A lot of people wonder why covers and titles are different in other countries, but there are lots of cultural differences and customs which don't always match American ones and need to be adjusted.

Here ya go. I am tres pleased with Jean-Sebastien Rossbach's art once again:

Lastly, Vampire Academy is continuing its world tour and selling rights in Slovenia, Hungary, and Bulgaria. Woot!

I find it very bizarre how things are changed between the US and UK editions of books; I'm unclear as to why the UK edition needed to have its title changed (was that the only change to the book?) or why the US version of the first Harry Potter book was changed. I'm pretty sure "philosopher" is just as uncommonly used in the UK as in the US!

It's just bonkers!

I really like this cover. I've really enjoyed many of the foreign covers of the US covers.

Have you considered keeping a gallery of all your book covers on your web page? Do you already and I'm just missing it? I think it would be interesting and enjoyable to see them all together.

That's an amazing book cover! Do you have a say on how you picture your book covers or do you let the artist go wild, so to speak?

The French cover versions are really hot !
This one reminds me a little of Elektra (comic, not greek tragedy). Maybe Georgina should start carrying a set of sai around, lol.

Wow, that's an amazing cover! Congratulations on the YA series selling so well.

Did the the young woman check the basement? There had been talk of a rival KGB take-over...

Eeeep! I am sooo excited about VA being translated into Hungarian. I keep telling my cousin over and over and over and over how amazing your books are. We've been searching everywhere to see if they have the books in her native language yet. This made me soo happy! =)

As far as passive-aggressive neighborhood turf war tactics go, I applaud HOA President's use of evidence gathering by widely-distributed note. Serves two simultaneous purposes - 1) gathers evidence of the infractions, and 2) besmirches the enemy's reputation among all the neighbors in writing.

Well played, Mr. President. Well played.

Yeah, I understand why some titles are changed. I kind of wish I had the 'Nights' version the other day...I was reading it on my lunch break and got a comment.
